In hopes of generating some new conversation... Here in the Appalachian Mtn's, we have had RECORD setting rainfall the last 6 weeks. This past Friday afternoon we received 5-1/4" inches of rain in 7 hours... in 7 HOURS !!! Don't take it as I'm complaining entirely. This is MUCH better than being in a drought... others are not so fortunate. Rain may hinder getting tasks completed, but the lack of such a precious resource creates a host of problems which make it miserable for all living creatures. How is everyone else doing??

Here it's hot as heck. Lots of rain, mosquitos, and general summer time weather. Wouldn't have it any other way! LOL I haven't been able to saw any lumber, but sure would love to soon. Been too busy with my day job, and the saw mill is gathering the wrong kind of dust. I see Randy on facebook now and then, I believe he has fallen in love with his new Harley, and I can't say I blame him.. Real pretty bike, and 55 miles per hour sure blows the saw dust off real quick. Hope all is good with you, would love to talk with you sometime. Take care of those mountains, they are the closest thing to heaven I can think of.
Take care,

Don't feel bad, my mill hasn't been running much either. That is soon to change though. The weather broke several weeks ago and it has been a mad rush to get hay put up. Being this late, there won't be a second cutting. That's OK though, time to gear up to get some wood on the deck. I've sent Randy a couple PM's, but haven't received any replies. Glad he is enjoying himself. Hope he can "ride" by here (forum) and chime in.

If you still have my number, give me a call. I'm still looking for that seat, and would enjoy talking to you again. Take it easy, Joe I lost your number when I lost my phone, and can't figure how to send a pm on this site.

It seems that we are knocking on the back door of winter here. Been pleasantly mild with some absolutely beautiful days.
We saw a couple flakes floating by before Thanksgiving. I'd venture to guess the mud will be oppressive every time we get any sort of precipitation. Oh well, take the good with the not so good.
We have much to be Thankful for regardless of what nature brings.
